Located in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains near the town of Boulder Creek. Camp Krem is 20 minutes from Santa Cruz and sixty miles South of San Francisco. Campers with developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy and other physical or emotional differences can enjoy a wide variety of activities. Camp Krem offers six summer camp sessions with three unique types of programs. Camp Krem has ten rustic cabins, a multi-activity center / dining hall, an arts and crafts center, specially designed swimming pool, campfire arena, large playground, basketball and sports area, miles of nature trails and outdoor camp settings.
Camping Unlimited is a non-profit organization which was founded by Alex Krem with the help of parents, teachers and friends of the developmentally disabled . Mr Krem was a special education teacher who did ground breaking work in successfully main-streaming exceptional children into a regular public school environment.
