Manasota BUDS is an all-volunteer non-profit organization. New members are always welcome and there is no fee to join. All of our programs and services are free to members.
For new parent kits or any other service, please contact a board member. All board members are parents of children with Down syndrome and active members of our community. Please allow a reasonable amount of time for a response.
Our mission is to provide families with a neutral and supportive forum for sharing and networking, and to promote understanding and acceptance of Down syndrome.
Manasota BUDS was formed in May 2002 by a small group of families who wanted to network, compare notes, share stories, and support one another. We were then, and continue to be, an all-volunteer organization. We have minimal overhead and spend our money wisely -- on programs and services for people with Down syndrome.
