The Sleep Tight Wedge was created by a mother of six, who as a foster, adoptive, and birth mom, raises children with special health care needs.  She's had a definite need for a solution like the Sleep Tight Wedge because several of the children had reflux, feeding tubes, and one was on oxygen for an extended period of time. While there are some basic wedges available, none is washable or helps manage the medical equipment associated with these conditions.

The Sleep Tight Wedge is made of a solid piece of lightweight, sturdy, washable material that is soft enough to provide a comfortable resting spot for an infant or small child. The wedge is small enough to fit inside a crib, on the floor next to a bed, or in a regular-sized bed and comes with a removable 5-point harness.

It is also lightweight and portable so you can move it from room to room and take it along on trips.  The wedge can be washed down with soap and water or other household cleaning products, making it ideal for hospital use  with multiple patients.

Research indicates that 7 million children suffer from acid reflux.  The belief is that it is best if children with this condition stay in an elevated position as much as possible, including after eating and while sleeping.

In addition to reflux, many children use medical equipment, including IV's, feeding tubes, and oxygen.  To help prevent entanglement with this equipment, the Sleep Tight Wedge manages cords and tubing with quick-release grooves on both sides of the supportive frame.
