We are also proud to be nationally designated as: Iowa's University Center for Excellence on Disabilities.

The Iowa Legislature created our organization in 1947, and we first opened our doors in 1948. As the only tertiary program of its kind in Iowa, we are a resource for people of all ages who have disabilities of all kinds. In addition to serving people from Iowa, we are a resource for people from neighboring states and beyond.
